Enforcement & By-Law Services - Non-Motorized LMV Storage

The following may be parked/stored in the rear and interior side yards:

  • A utility trailer (max. 7m long and 3m high)
  • A camper trailer (max. 7m long and 3m high)
  • A boat on a trailer (max. 7m long and 3m high)
  • Snowmobiles, watercraft and ATVs on a trailer (max. 7m long and 3m high)

The following may also be parked on the driveway in the front yard (in addition to permitted trailers/recreational vehicles in the rear yard)

  • A camper trailer (max. 5m long and 1.8m high)
  • A boat on a trailer (max. 5m long and 1.8m high)
  • Snowmobiles, watercraft and ATVs on a trailer (max. 5m long and 1.8m high)

Temporary Exemptions for Oversized recreational trailers in the front yard on the driveway

  • Camper trailer, boat on trailer or recreational vehicles on trailer up to 7m long and 3m high may be parked on the driveway for a period not exceeding 72 consecutive hours twice per calendar month
  • May not be located in the visibility triangle
  • May not extend onto the sidewalk of past the curb.

NOTE:  The length of all trailers EXCLUDES the tongue.

The recreational vehicles can be parked on of the following:

  • A hard surface such as asphalt, concrete or driveway pavers.

The recreational vehicles cannot be parked on/in:

  • Landscaping including but not limited to patio stones, grass, gravel or dirt.
  • An exterior side yard, this means a corner lot with their side yard facing the street.
