Mobile Licensing – Complaint about a Vehicle or Driver

The City of Brampton issues or renews licenses for approximately 1,000 vehicles each year including taxis, limousines, driving schools, refreshment vehicles, etc.

All operators are required to meet and adhere to strict qualifications under the City’s mobile licensing by-law. Residents can report any licensed operator in violation of the terms. For details on the regulations associated with Mobile Licensing, please review the By-Law 67-2014 for more information.

Some examples of concerns include, but are not limited to:

  • A dirty, damaged or unsafe mobile business vehicle that has a City issued operator’s licence
  • Taxi driver took an unnecessarily long route – overcharged
  • An issue with a driver (refreshment, driving instructor, taxi, tow truck, limo, etc.)

If you require further assistance addressing your concerns, please contact 311 within Brampton or 905-874-2000.
