Enforcement & By-Law Services - Report Parkland Violation in a City Park
The City of Brampton has a set by-law for the management, control regulations, maintenance and usage of all park-lands and water areas, within parklands and properties owned by the City of Brampton. Violations include, but are not limited to:
- Camping overnight
- Loitering between 11pm - 7am
- Fireworks being discharged
- Operating motorized vehicles (scooter), motorcycles or snowmobiles, etc in a park, on park roads or on frozen parkland lakes or ponds
- People living in a park – homeless encampment
- Boating (electric motor, gas powered, sail, oar/paddle, etc) on a lake or pond
- Golfing in a park
- Unauthorized swimming in open bodies of water (lake or pond)
- Unauthorized skating on frozen bodies of water (lake or pond)
- Unauthorized fishing in SWM lakes or ponds
- Fishing from the shore of the beach or a boat/raft is not allowed
- Ice Fishing is not allowed
- Unauthorized activity or play on sports fields without a permit and/or that may result in damage to sod/grass/turf
- Vehicle (other than City maintenance) driving on grass in a park, dumping in a park
