Enforcement & By-Law Services - Report Parkland Violation in a City Park

The City of Brampton has a set by-law for the management, control regulations, maintenance and usage of all park-lands and water areas, within parklands and properties owned by the City of Brampton. Violations include, but are not limited to:

  • Camping overnight
  • Loitering between 11pm - 7am
  • Fireworks being discharged
  • Operating motorized vehicles (scooter), motorcycles or snowmobiles, etc in a park, on park roads or on frozen parkland lakes or ponds
  • People living in a park – homeless encampment
  • Boating (electric motor, gas powered, sail, oar/paddle, etc) on a lake or pond
  • Golfing in a park
  • Unauthorized swimming in open bodies of water (lake or pond)
  • Unauthorized skating on frozen bodies of water (lake or pond)
  • Unauthorized fishing in SWM lakes or ponds
    • Fishing from the shore of the beach or a boat/raft is not allowed
    • Ice Fishing is not allowed
  • Unauthorized activity or play on sports fields without a permit and/or that may result in damage to sod/grass/turf
  • Vehicle (other than City maintenance) driving on grass in a park, dumping in a park
