Enforcement & By-Law Services - Report Motor Home Stored on Private Property
Motor Homes are recreational vehicles that are motorized and are considered Oversized Motor Vehicles (OMV) as they exceed:
- 2.6m (8.5 ft) in height
And / Or
- 6.7m (22 ft) in length
Motor homes are not authorized to be stored on residential driveways, landscaping material, or grass.
Motor homes are only allowed to be parked on the street with a valid parking consideration. . Motor homes, or other oversized motor vehicles which are designed for recreational purposes are eligible for a “P Parking Permit”.
If the motor home, or recreational vehicle has a trailer attached (i.e. a pickup truck with a boat on a trailer), both the vehicle and the trailer must obtain a parking consideration. The parking consideration must be in effect before the vehicle is parked on the street.
