Enforcement & By-Law Services – Bicycle on Sidewalk
Vehicles, including bicycles, whose wheels are more than 50 centimeters (20 inches) in diameter, are not permitted on sidewalks, except to cross them.
Exception: Wheelchairs
This By-Law is not intended to encourage children to ride bikes in the streets – the intention is to stop reckless bike riding on the sidewalks
In order to report this violation:
- It must be occurring as you create a service request or,
- You must know where the person lives
If the bike leaves the area before the Officer arrives no action can be taken.
